Summer Social: A Great Success!

Bookmark and Share

Thanks to all that came along for the Social Event last night!

A wonderful turnout of almost 30 people raised £150 for Reading PSC – not bad for a Sunday night!

PSC members and RISC’s Global Cafe staff helped set up our space in the restaurant with seating, a long decorated table and a projection screen. While people arrived and mingled a photo slideshow and music played, we then took our seats for Tutu‘s delicious Ethiopian buffet.

After the obligatory (short!) speeches and Thank-Yous, we closed out the evening by dividing everyone into teams for a themed quiz – this proved to be great fun… although, we’re not entirely sure who won!

Overall, this was a great starter event to build awareness of our campaign, raise moral, meet new supporters and catchup with old friends.

We will start planning the next event at our meeting on Thursday July 15 – please come along and give you feedback and input!

(Check back, we’ll post some pictures later today.)
